Downloading weather maps, booking a marina berth or searching for a good restaurant at your next stop is made easier and is much more price friendly with an Ericsson W25 Fixed Wireless Terminal. The Ericsson W25 operates on the 3G/GSM network, and is capable of reaching data speeds of up to 7.2mbps making it faster than standard broadband connections. Connection to your computer is via the W25's 4 port network hub or wirelessly via a WiFi link.

High Quality Voice

The Ericsson W25 operates over the 3G cellular network but has a telephone socket for connecting a landline telephone handset. Call quality is identical to that of a landline and cordless telephones can be used for wireless roaming around the boat.

Wireless Fax

Whether you have converted your boat into your office or you would just like to be reached in every way possible, Ericsson's W25 will allow you to send and receive faxes via the mobile/cellular network. Users will enjoy the benefits of operating a fax over the mobile network, rather than the more expensive satellite network. You must subscribe to the FaxTerminator service in order to send and receive faxes.

Ericsson's W25 3G Fixed Wireless Terminal is a complete voice and data solution for the 3G network. Home or small office users who want to cut their landline to mobile call costs or get rid of their landline completely will particularly benefit from the W25.

The unit operates by mains power; connects to a landline telephone or PC; and houses a 3G SIM card from any 3G network. If access to a 3G network is not possible, the W25 can also operate using GSM. The SIM card ensures all calls are sent over the mobile network so users that are making a high number of landline to mobile calls are being charged at mobile to mobile rates. Capped plans and free calls between mobiles are two of the main plans from which users will benefit. The W25 is also capable of IP faxing.

Marine and remote communication is made easy with the Ericsson W25. If accessing the Internet via a landline connection is not possible or convenient, the W25 can operate using the mobile networks to access the Internet. Using the cell network to access the Internet is more cost efficient than using satellite. Most times it can be one fifth of the price of satellite.

Connecting the W25 to your computer is via the W25's four port router or using Wifi for wireless connectivity.
